RMarsh Feature UFO Traffic Report: April 29, 2011

Article by: Roger Marsh

Triangle reports again dominated UFO traffic these past 10 days as we review cases through April 28, 2011.

Looking beyond the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database for more evidence – the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC) seems to be receiving a high number of triangle cases as well.

While the largest number of reported UFOs remains in the “light” category, the triangle-shaped UFO takes second place with 6,413 cases logged in.

Triangle UFO

Statistically more triangles appeared in Eastern states during March 2011 – with 10 states claiming sightings from the 34 total triangle reports. Four states from the Central piece of the U.S. had sightings, and four Western states. California had the highest number of reports from a single state – with 8 reports – a figure that matches the MUFON witness reporting database.

But as usual, there seems to be no pattern with the sightings and that they pop up rather randomly across the country.

Here are some links to a few of the more interesting NUFORC triangle reports from March.

A Russellville, AR, couple saw and followed a triangle UFO on March 31, 2011, and ended up seeing two of them – but the object eventually moved away at high speed – while this couple maintained a steady 40 mph speed limit.

Typical of many triangle reports, this object seen over Fond du Lac, WI, on March 29, 2011, moved extremely fast – although the description of the object is also similar – rounded edges in this case, low to the ground (about 1,000 feet), and of course, silent.

On March 27, 2011, two witnesses out for a smoke break at 11:15 p.m. watched a floating triangle with soft blue lights at each point right over downtown Ann Arbor, MI. “The object seemed not to cruise a regular speed, but to sort of float and pivot slightly back and forth, headed in a general northwest direction,” the witness stated. “The object itself was barely discernible, except the back looked slightly concaved, or fish-tailed. We saw the object floating for about 15 seconds before it disappeared behind the buildings in the city.”

This Stratford, CT, witness was driving home when a triangle object with lights at two of the three points and just 200 feet in the air was seen on March 26, 2011. “I had a clear view of this unknown object,” the witness stated. “It was grey and triangular with the two lights on two points of the triangle. Trying to focus on the road I looked down and when I looked back up it was gone without a sound. I couldn’t find any trace of it in the sky.”

A Vancouver, WA, witness got out of the car to observe a triangle object on March 24, 2011, with a center red light. “It made no noise,” the witness stated. “The object hovered and other smaller white lights began to appear on both sides of the triangle as well as an oval shaped object. The Triangle then went straight up and disappeared.”

A Burlington, MA, witness describes a triangle object hovering just 100 to 150 feet over a small pond at 12:05 a.m. on March 23, 2011. The witness was possibly 300 to 600 feet from the object and watched it for between 8 and 10 seconds. The object had 15 bright lights that were red, green, blue and white. “Some looked like a car’s headlights in brightness and size, others seemed slightly smaller and a bit dimmer,” the witness stated. “When first sighted, the lights appeared to be slowly rotating horizontally around a fixed central axis. The rotation only lasted a few seconds before stopping. It turned about 1/4 of a turn or 90 degrees. These lights moved in unison, maintaining their positions relative to each other, as if they were all attached to one solid object, hidden in the black sky. Viewed rotation lasted 2 or 3 seconds.”

Back at MUFON, the following are cases from just the past 10 days, including: a boomerang object over PA; a triangle UFO 150 feet in the air over NJ; a TX encounter with three alien beings; a UFO the size of “an acre of land” over FL; tall aliens visit an OH home; a disc UFO hovers over a GA family’s swimming pool; a NM man reporting more than 2,300 UFOs; six cases all from April 19, 2011; a low-flying triangle over Santa Monica, CA; a UFO dropping balls of light in MD; a silent, hovering object in CT; a Corona, CA, object that changed shape and colors; a rectangular-shaped object over Indianapolis, IN; a translucent disk-shaped object hovering over IN; and finally a triangle object over Milan, MI.

First up – two West Springfield, PA, witnesses were startled about 9 p.m. on March 8, 2011, after noticing “three lights in the shape of a boomerang” whose length matched the height of a neighbor’s two-story house.

“It was moving fast, what seemed like 65-75 mph from left to right,” the reporting witness stated. “As they moved from front of the house (south) to the rear (north), they shifted from flat and horizontal, to completely vertical (like in the picture). It didn’t just slowly become vertical, it snapped straight up in less than one-half a second with no sound, and no hesitation.”

The craft moved north a short piece and then “completely disappeared.”

Egg Harbor Township

A New Jersey couple says they were surprised to see a silent and slow-moving, triangle-shaped craft 150 feet off the ground with a low humming noise move over their Egg Harbor Township home.

The sighting occurred at 9:30 p.m. on April 14, 2011.

“The craft was moving very slow, a traditional aircraft would have fallen from the sky traveling that slow,” the reporting witness stated.

The witness described the craft as having “lights on the triangular points and other lights as well.”

A Missouri man visiting his son’s home in San Antonio, TX, reports hearing a pinging sound outside his bedroom window and then seeing three alien beings inside.

The witness was reading in bed at 3:25 a.m. on February 19, 2011, when he first heard a “ping” sound.

When the sound seemed to come close to the bedroom window, the witness sat up in bed.

“That really worried me and I wondered how this strobbing sound could get right up next to the house since there is a wood privacy fence 6 feet high next to the window that prevents anyone from entering the back yard,” the witness stated.

The witness then felt “vibrations” – not sound, and began thinking repeatedly in his mind, “Don’t come in.”

Then a sense of normalcy overcame the witness, who returned to the bed to read. But shortly, he saw two small “grey” aliens in the bedroom doorway, and a taller being standing in the doorway of another bedroom.

San Antonio is the seventh largest city in America, population 1.3 million.

An Archer, FL, witness estimates one of two anomalous lights might have been as large as an acre of land after watching two lights appear and then shoot up into the atmosphere at 9:30 p.m. on April 18, 2011.

“I noticed a bright neon blue light appear in the night sky,” the witness stated. “A moment later it traveled at a high rate of speed straight up until it faded out within 5 seconds.”

Then 5 seconds later a second light appeared in the same location, but smaller in size.

“There is not a single cloud in the sky for a light to disappear into so they must have left visible range out of Earth’s atmosphere or simply turned off whatever was illuminating them. If they were in fact leaving Earth’s atmosphere at that speed, the blue light must have been as large as an acre and the smaller one half an acre.”

Archer is a city in Alachua County, north-central Florida, population 1,302.

MUFON PA

Pennsylvania Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) State Director John Ventre was a guest on Visions Radio April 16, 2011, to counter statements made by Joedy Cooks on a recent show.

Cooks – identified as a Bigfoot researcher – made some rather wild statements – seemingly as fact – that MUFON intimidated witnesses, destroyed evidence, and was controlled by the CIA.

An Ohio witness came forward April 19, 2011, with a 7-year-old triangle UFO sighting where the story’s ending is fogged with dreams of tall alien beings with “dark colored, lizard-like skin” and a hospital stay involving a swollen brain

The witness had just put a child to bed and was watching television in 2004 when a light was noticed shining down onto a backyard tree. The witness stepped outside to have a look and found something that was apparently life changing.

“What I saw was a triangle-shaped UFO with one light at each point, one larger light in the middle – orange in color,” the witness stated. “The crazy thing is there was no sound coming from the UFO at all. It was just hovering over the top of the tree.”

Then the story shifts inside to the witness sitting on the couch.

“Later I awoke sitting on my couch holding a burnt out cigarette, staring at the back door.”

But the events of this night were not over. The witness began having dreams of alien creatures a few days later.

A Georgia witness recalls a close encounter with a disc-shaped UFO that hovered above the family swimming pool and took off “in the blink of an eye” while a USAF cargo jet was passing over.

The witness and two other family members were in the pool when the object was noticed on June 20, 2010 – an “object in the shape of a circle/disc.”

“The bottom of it had areas flashing a orangeish color (flames or lights) and it floated in the same spot for about 35 seconds,” the witness stated.

As the object moved away, an Air Force cargo plane was moving overhead.

A New Mexico witness reports that between June 19, 2009, and April 18, 2011, he has seen more than 2,300 UFOs and has even begun naming some of them as they make return appearances

One of the more spectacular cases took place on October 11, 2008.

“Just north and west of where I was, visible over a row of pine trees next to my yard, a craft was hovering,” the witness stated. “It had a large light lit, in appearance like a LED but casting no light. As soon as I looked at the craft the large light which was pointed down at me moved smoothly and quickly up to the front of the craft and the craft began to move in a south southwesterly direction. I stood watching it, noting the lights around it and the very dimly lit red lights that appeared to be in a random pattern nearly covering the bottom of the craft.”

Monitoring the incoming reports from the Mutual UFO Network’s (MUFON) witness reporting database is only a small piece of what American ufology is doing today. Each case is assigned within its state to a field investigator, follow-ups are made, natural or manmade explanations are reviewed, and then some of the more important cases are investigated.

Reviewing the event date of Tuesday, April 19, 2011, we see six cases scattered across the country – Ohio, two from Washington, Texas, Nevada, and New Jersey.

The Ohio cigar case is typical of what has been reported over the past 20 years – a low flying and silent object. The elderly Washington woman who reports boulders and rocks being beamed up into a star-like object is somewhat unusual. There is the occasional beam of light coming from a UFO, but rarely do we hear of cases where objects on the surface are being scooped up. Lots of cases lately like the Texas case where lights are moving in a triangle formation. These are popping up all across the country – and some have been videotaped. The second Washington case is also typical of recent reports, where someone sees what they believe is a star, and then it moves, often becomes bright, and appears to move in a controlled and intelligent way. The same is true of the Nevada case, where the witness notes the non-existence of mandatory FAA lights. And while we continue to see many reports of people sending in photos where the UFO was not present when the photo was taken – but it turned up later when viewed on a computer – and those darn hunting camp cam photos – the Google ground view photos are trickling in too like today’s image from New Jersey of what might be a reflection.

April 19, 2011, was somewhat typical – the cases were scattered and the descriptions were varied. The strong number of triangle cases continues to come into the database daily too.

A California witness reports two silent, low-flying triangle UFOs moved over Santa Monica at 8:30 p.m. on April 20, 2011

The witness says the two crafts were “roughly the size of a private jet with three lights per craft” with lights at the tip of every point. The incident occurred at the corner of 9th and Montana as the UFOs flew “east away from Santa Monica beach toward downtown Los Angeles.”

“They were silent and eerie to observe, as the moon is fairly big and the sky wasn’t very dark,” the witness stated. “I got a good look at the two albeit a short amount of time.”

A Maryland witness reports her boyfriend woke her on April 21, 2011, to say a “strange flying object” moved low over the house with a “pulsating rumbling” and “strange green lighting” that was dropping “glowing balls of light” onto the ground

The woman said her boyfriend thought the object may have been a plane, but that it “had the strangest green lighting pattern on it – he’s never seen before.”

The object flew over the house and over nearby trees. “He suddenly saw small glowing balls of light dropping out of the plane to the ground.”

The woman then looked outside to see a “small glowing light across the road in a field.”

Stratford Point Lighthouse in Stratford, CT

A Milford, CT, witness reports observing a silent object that “climbed up rather quickly and then stopped” over the Sikorsky Helicopter Plant in Stratford.

“My first thought was, ‘helicopter’,” the witness stated. “But when I actually looked at it – It clearly wasn’t.”

The hovering object then moved again and stopped again – and quickly vanished.

“It then rose a bit higher and stopped again. At that point I tried to get a photo of it, however my phone is no longer top of the line. I then saw it vanish into the clouds.”

The silent object seemed to have an aura around it.

A Corona, CA, witness reports watching an eastbound black triangle UFO at 7 p.m. on April 20, 2011, that was gaining altitude as it moved toward Riverside and was “changing shape and color.”

“The black triangle object was pointing east like an arrow tip and was slowly moving eastbound toward Riverside, CA,” the witness stated. “It was directly over the intersection of E. Grand Blvd. and S. Howard St. It was very high in the sky and was elevating while moving eastbound.”

The object seemed to be changing shape and color.

An Indianapolis, IN, witness reports watching a silent, slow-moving, rectangular-shaped object with “two very bright lights” that stopped, reversed course, and moved overhead.

The witness had just left The Keystone at the Crossing shopping mall in Indianapolis, at 9:13 p.m. on April 19, 2011, traveled along 86th Street to Keystone Avenue, and moved toward the Route 465 westbound entrance ramp when the object was noticed.

The witness followed the object, and as the object passed overhead, the witness realized it was rectangular-shaped.

“As it approached and eventually passed above me, I noted two large and very bright lights. They were separate from each other and looked like headlights on a car. I thought it was some sort of slow moving aircraft, but as the underside passed by (on my right-hand side), I thought, ‘Why does that remind me of the underside of a push lawn mower?” I was referring to the shape. It was rectangular! The object was smaller than expected. It was not a massive airliner sizer. It was traveling low enough to the street to catch my attention. Yet logically it had to be high enough to pass above telephone lines, trees, etc. I rolled down my window and did not hear any loud noise as it passed overhead.”

A Huntington, IN, witness reports watching a “translucent disk-shaped symmetrical object” hovering 25 feet over a nearby parking lot.

The witness walked out of his apartment at 10 p.m. on April 13, 2011, and noticed the object.

“The object I saw was translucent and obscuring the background night sky and apartment buildings and trees, though, not blocking the background out,” the witness stated.”The shape was more like a distortion of the background, much like the image one sees when looking at one’s reflection in a pool of water.”

The witness described the object.

“The shape was symmetrically disk-shaped and did not change. I could not see any edges or seams of physical material. It was as if the object was rapidly ionizing the air around the edges of the shape forming a thin fog that would dissipate but was continuously being generated. It was spontaneously generated in a circular pattern much like it seemed the effect of dry ice has when placed in ambient air.

A Milan, MI, witness reports that a distant triangle-shaped object moved quickly toward the vehicle he was driving and then “shot straight up” and was gone.

The witness was driving along Willis Road just west of the Whittaker intersection at 5:30 a.m. on March 14, 2011, when the incident occurred.

The object was described as a triangle shape with three steady lights.

“I have a huge background in avionics, and knew it was not a ‘plane,’” the witness stated.
