PRS is proud to announce that it will be offering a series of lectures and training exercises for those who have an interest in the paranormal. The events will be held at the PRS office (based in State College, Pa.). Attendees will get to sit in on a formal presentation (with topics ranging from poltergeist activity, interviewing techniques to PK Phenomena), participate in group exercises, have a Q&A and after-hours social. These events are for the more serious-minded researcher or enthusiast looking to expand their knowledge on the paranormal.
Educational. Although all PRS events are fun, this half-day event is focused more on the research, theory and technique of its respective subjects. Because the paranormal is truly an undiscovered country, we will make it our mission to offer various points of view so the attendee can benefit from a well-rounded understanding of the topic. The PRS OPEN HOUSES will bring in some of the foremost researchers to offer these lectures.
Hands-On. Certain Open House sessions will be focused more on the technique of its subject. For example, you’ve seen PRS use devices such as the GANZFELD EXPERIMENT (a device that allegedly allows the user to enter an altered state of consciousness through sensory depravation). Attendees may have the opportunity to participate in the experiment and record results. Other subjects will include psychic enhancement, infrasound, thought formation, historical research, interviewing techniques, psychokinesis and more!
PRS Office & History Tour. For the first time ever, lectures will be held inside PRS headquarters. Get a quick tour of the FIR Tech Room, The Director’s Office, library and more!
Social Hour. After the lectures, go out with the attendees and PRS crew to get to know one another and build the paranormal community.
Open House Info: PRS will generally offer 1 open house session a month. Each month’s session will cover a new, unique topic (although some of the more popular topics may get a second or third run after a few months). Open House will typically be held on a Saturday. However, due to the hectic Penn State football schedule, some dates in the fall will be held on either a Thursday or Sunday. Please check the dates below for more information. Admittance in to the Open House is through a purchased ticket only.
Please keep checking back weekly as we will add more information about our open house events.
