PRS to host a holiday gathering at Black Swan Inn

Just a short drive from the bustling downtown area of San Antonio, off the beaten path, sits one of the most haunted buildings in Texas, if not all of the United States. The Black Swan Inn stands on top of a hill, and its weathered look only adds to its hauntingly beautiful stature.
For decades, curious visitors and die hard paranormal investigators have traveled to the Black Swan Inn to see it for themselves. Many have walked away with their own experiences.
In 2012, Ryan Buell first visited the Black Swan Inn as part of the old PRS society. “I remember the atmosphere and the mood within the walls,” he said. “It always stuck with me as a place I wanted to return to.”
In 2023, Buell returned to the Black Swan Inn as part of the annual San Antonio Paranormal Festival, hosted by the Curious Twins. Every year, thousands gather on the property to check out paranormal vendors such as psychics and paranormal investigators and hear lectures. A few weeks later, PRSE hosted a private investigation on the property, with multiple people having experiences.
Buell recounts how he saw a barefoot woman singing to herself as she walked on the property. “At first I thought it was a resident, someone who lived there,” he said. “It never occurred to me that I might be witnessing an apparition.” Buell recalls that he told the owners of the Curious Twins that someone was wandering the property and the first thought that it was someone trespassing. Later, however, other paranormal groups reported seeing or hearing a woman roaming the property.
Buell and PRSE have hosted two public events at the Black Swan Inn, with many attendees having their own experiences.
On November 23rd, Buell will host another gathering. This time, it will have a festive, holiday theme to it.
“I’ve always wondered, as I’m sure others have as well, if spirits are aware that it is the holiday season,” said Buell. “The holidays are such a potent time for us every year, and so we are hoping to be a bit festive with them as we try to communicate.”
PRSE events at the Black Swan Inn have traditionally sold out. Attendees have come from all over the country to investigate the Black Swan Inn with Buell. For this event, Buell plans to give a presentation on famous “Paranormal State” cases, as well as sharing the experiences he has had at the Black Swan Inn.
Afterwards, attendees will get to investigate the property with Buell for a few hours. Snacks and drinks will also be provided.
